A Little Bit More About Us…

We primarily care for families in Gosport, Lee-on-the-Solent, Fareham and Hampshire, although due to our outstanding reputation we are often contacted by families from much further afield.  We are available 24 hours a day and will try and ease the burden you may be feeling.

It should reassure you to know that we are members of the National Association of Funeral Directors, which means we abide by a strict code of practice designed to protect families and ensure a high quality service is being provided. Our premises are regularly inspected and you can be assured that your loved ones will be cared for in a safe and properly equipped environment.

‘We became involved in the funeral industry In 2005 after losing people that we loved very much.  They are the inspiration behind Ruby Funerals, it is their memory that we draw upon to ensure that you receive our full care and compassion at all times’.

Ruth

Ruth

Ruth joined the team as a funeral director after spending 12 years in Human Resources. Ruth has an attentive approach to each family, ensuring the time and attention they receive is completely personal, and tailored to them. Ruth is one of the team members who you may see on the day of your loved ones funeral, ensuring every little detail is perfect and the day runs smoothly.

Natasha Pickett - Funeral Director

Sophia

Often the first person you’ll have contact with, Sophia joined the team as our receptionist after spending some time working for the local government with young adults. She has a brilliant work ethic, and a warm, welcoming smile as you walk through the door. Whether you need pricing information, some funeral advice or even just a chat, Sophia is there for you when you need her the most. During evenings and weekends, Sophia likes to spend time with her family, and her furry friends!

Chloe

 Becky

After requiring our services a few years ago when she sadly lost 2 of her babies, Becky realised that caring for others in a similar situation was her ultimate goal and we are delighted that she has started along her new career path with us. After joining us as a receptionist she was quickly promoted to a full time Funeral Arranger.  She loves hearing stories about your loved ones, and getting a sense of their personality’s. Her warm and sensitive approach is always welcoming and she makes an excellent cuppa.

Our staff do not job share, so you will be cared for throughout your journey with us. Although we are a female run funeral home, we can provide both male and female Funeral Directors should you have a preference. If you would prefer your loved one to be dressed and cared for by either a man or a woman, you only need to ask.
