About Us

We became involved in the funeral industry in 2005 after losing people that we loved very much. They are the inspiration behind Ruby, which stands for courage and integrity, and it is their memory that we draw upon to ensure that you receive our full care and compassion at all times. Both our branches offer welcoming, private consultation rooms.

We opened Ruby Funerals, which is a totally independent female run funeral home, in 2009.

Since opening we have received a number of accolades such as ‘Award winning customer care’ from the Funeral Planning Service, a highly commended customer service excellence award from Gosport Borough Council, a nomination from the Portsmouth News for the Community Pride Awards and most recently we won ‘Best Newcomer’ at the Funeral Planner of the year awards with Golden Charter. More importantly we have received some excellent feedback from our customers, please click here to view our testimonials.

The loss of a loved one is something that we all, unfortunately, experience at some point in our lives. That’s why at Ruby Funerals we offer a service providing all aspects of funeral care and arrangements beginning from the moment you first contact us.

We are an independent Funeral home owned and run by Katy Ware and Michelle Peskett serving Lee-On-The-Solent, Gosport and all surrounding areas. We will be able to guide you through the next steps and help you with as much, or as little of the arrangements as you require and are available to you and your family 24 hours a day to try and ease the burden that you may be feeling.

We appreciate that no two families are the same and we will tailor our services to meet your individual needs, whilst ensuring that you are fully involved in making the funeral of your loved one a special and personal occasion.

The next step will be to arrange an appointment with us to begin planning the funeral. This meeting can take place in the comfort of your own home, or at either of our branch offices in Gosport (opposite Waitrose, on Stoke Road) or on the High Street in Lee-on-the-Solent.
